A section can have an AI summary: a short text that describes what the section's numbers show. The summary is written by an AI model from the data in that section.
Add a summary
If a section has no summary, click Generate summary, or Write it yourself to write your own. To add one to a section that does not have the block, use Add block > AI summary. Each section can have one.
Work with a summary
The icons in the Summary block header:
- Edit: change the text, with bold, italic, headings, lists, and quotes.
- Regenerate with AI: write it again from the current data. This replaces any edits you made, without asking first.
- Copy: copy the text.
When the data in a section changes, Studio shows The data changed since this summary was written. Click Refresh summary to update it.
| Note: AI summaries are not labelled as AI-written in the profile or in exports. Read and check every summary before you share or publish the document, and edit it to fit your context. |
If there is not enough data, Studio does not write a summary. If the AI service is busy, try again in a moment.
