Use the Create new... button at the top of the left-hand sidebar to start a map, story, report, or report template from any page.
- In the left-hand sidebar, click Create new....
- Choose what to create:
- Map: choose one of the Social Explorer maps to start exploring. You can save your work later if you want to keep it.
- Story: choose the map your story starts from. The Story Editor opens so you can build a multi-map narrative. See Tell a story with Maps.
- Report: opens the Reports app in a new tab, where you choose a survey, geographies, and tables. See Create a Report.
- Report Template: opens the Reports app in a new tab so you can save a list of tables to reuse. See Creating and Saving a Template.
| Note: If you see Report (Old version) in the menu, use Report instead. New reports are built in the current Reports app. |
| Tip: You can start from any Social Explorer map, not only the default U.S. Demography map. |
